ABOUT ME

Hi and welcome!

I'm Robin, a Software Engineer by weekday, and weekend blogger. I'm here to offer my experience with aging gracefully. What do I have to offer–I’ve been through some tough times with parents who could have benefited from safer aging in place. We learned some lessons along the way, as I researched the topic to death in order to get a grip on my fear that something tragic would happen unless we put some safeguards in place.  Also, somehow I’ve magically entered the “silver haired” group myself (although I’ve been a camouflaged silver haired since my 30s, but we won’t go there). I feel young at heart, but my body sometimes tells me otherwise. Since recently entering my sixties I’ve noticed subtle changes in my dexterity, I trip more often, fall down the stairs more often (luckily no serious injuries). In my mind, I’m still running marathons, my last one was 6 years ago. My aching skeletal system put an end to my long distance runs. I’m not stopping though, I’m adjusting…I’m still highly active and I hope to be until I take my last breath. I prioritize a healthy body and home, and I plan on aging in place for as long as possible!
